For CO2 freezing and NH3 heat pump applications
The GEA Grasso 5HP is a high-pressure reciprocating compressor designed for industrial freezing, cooling, and heating applications using the natural refrigerants CO2 and ammonia. The 50 bar series includes four single-stage models with three to six cylinders, offering flexible capacity for a wide range of industrial refrigeration systems.
Its low volume flow in relation to cooling capacity supports efficient performance in CO2 cascade freezing applications. The compressor is also suitable for ammonia heat pump systems, enabling condensing temperatures of up to 85 °C for high-temperature water production, process heating, and industrial heat recovery.
