To further strengthen our Sales department, we are seeking a Project Sales Support Engineer who will be reporting to the Sales Manager.
Your tasks
- Manage the daily operations of the Sales Support team, including resource allocation and workflow for all support activities
- Map customer requirements and co-determine the sales strategy with the Sales Manager
- Advise, design, and calculate customer-specific refrigeration and heat pump solutions
- Assess third-party offers and provide all refrigeration calculations, cost estimates, and principle drawings
- Deliver commercially and technically sound calculations and subsequent quotations
- Present calculations and quotations to the customer together with the Sales Engineer
- Ensure accurate quotation tracking and follow-up
- Responsible for own resource planning to meet often demanding timelines
- Provide the necessary documentation required for project handover to the execution department
- Manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their roles
- Organize project team meetings, in consultation with the Sales Manager when required
- Communicate with clients regarding customer-specific refrigeration and heat pump solutions, in coordination with the Area Manager/Sales Engineer when required
- Transfer knowledge and apply lessons learned from completed projects to current and future solutions
- Share knowledge related to refrigeration calculations, cost estimates, and principle drawings with internal stakeholders to support development and innovation
- Safeguard knowledge by guiding and coaching colleagues within the Sales Support team and Sales department
- Focus on standardization
- Monitor internal and external developments within the discipline
- Willingness to travel, work abroad, and adapt to local conditions (occasionally)
Your profile
- University-level education in Mechanical Engineering, with additional training in refrigeration, heat transfer, or related fields
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial refrigeration, including design and calculation of refrigeration systems
- Extensive knowledge of functional and departmental processes, with 3–5 years of supervisory experience
- Fully familiar with all relevant standards and guidelines, such as EN 378, PED, and PGS 13, including country-specific requirements where applicable
- Experience with refrigeration solutions using ammonia, carbon dioxide, and propane
- Excellent command of English and French, both written and spoken
- German language is an added advantage
