To further strengthen our operations, we are seeking a Planning Engineer who will be reporting to the Operations Manager.
Your tasks
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Understand and define the full scope of the project
- Develop and maintain detailed, easy-to-understand project schedules and visual aids
- Identify critical path items and interdependencies early in the project lifecycle
- Obtain accurate time and cost estimates based on all available information
- Update and adjust the schedule as needed throughout the project
- Engage all stakeholders in the scheduling and monitoring process for smooth project execution
- Coordinate activities, resources, materials, machinery, and equipment in a structured manner
- Monitor the project schedule regularly and take early corrective action when required
- Plan contingency alternatives and keep project goals in mind at all times
- Balance project effort and identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or safety
- Provide timely solutions to potential issues to ensure efficient execution
- Facilitate communication and cooperation among all parties in adherence to safety and project requirements
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Proficient with Primavera and familiar with technology used in planning projects
- Ability to read and understand mechanical plans
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills for both anticipated and unexpected challenges
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexible and composed under pressure within tight deadlines
- Strong numeracy skills
